Join Our Team at the Maple Corner Community Store & Whammy Bar!

The Maple Corner Community Store and Whammy Bar is looking to hire two new team members to join our dedicated, hardworking staff. Some weekend shifts are required for all employees. 

Open Positions:

Cook (30-40 hours/week). Seeking a cook with professional kitchen experience to work at least three Whammy shifts per week (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and one Sunday a month), as well as assist our kitchen manager with planning and executing dinner specials, cooking meals for the grab and go, and preparing our house-made deli ingredients. 

When the Whammy Bar is open, this individual will be our primary Line Cook, including running the grill and cooking dinners to order. We’re looking to hire a creative cook who is eager to learn new skills and isn’t afraid to jump into some creative cooking and menu development.  This is a perfect position for someone who is eager to learn more about the ins and outs of the restaurant business, as you’ll not only hone your cooking skills under our Kitchen Manager’s guidance, but you’ll also work with our General Manager on food costs and some of the behind the scenes aspects of running a commercial kitchen. $18-22/hour depending on experience and commitment.

Store Clerk - (15-25 hours/week). Store & Deli staff member responsible for operating the point-of-sale system, preparing pizza, sandwiches and lunch specials as well as handling additional cooking & cleaning duties, including deli prep and some baking. Opportunities exist to step into more leadership roles including inventory management, development and implementation of daily breakfast and lunch specials, and more. $15-$18/hour, with room to grow with the business.

Minimum Requirements:

Some customer service experience and a willingness to enhance your customer service skills.

Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

Ability to work on your feet for at least 6 hours at a time.

Reading and math comprehension.

Reliable transportation.
